Quetta (Republican News) Military institutions’ operations have increased instead of recovering the missing persons: Chairman Sohrab Baloch

Baloch Students Organization Azad (BSO-A) Chairman Sohrab Baloch with strong words condemned the given threat of serious consequences to the Baloch mothers and sisters including Mama Qadeer Baloch who are sitting at the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons’ (VBMP) camp.

He added that families of the missing persons are demanding to the state institutions for the safe recovery of their beloved ones while using different peaceful means of protest under the flag of VBMP for last 10 years.

The missing persons’ families say that if their beloveds are guilty of any crime, then punish them according to the law. But this decade long peaceful protest has been neglected and the state institutions, lost in their power, are expressing intransigence.

Chairman Sohrab Baloch said that the state’s military institutions have increased their operations multifold. He said that more than 40,000 Baloch sons of soil have been disappeared by the state military institutions.

He added that the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons and Baloch Human Rights Organization (BHRO) have staged protest demonstrations and rallies against the increase in the illegal activities of the enforced disappearances of people from Balochistan.

Families have also did legal and lawful protest for the safe recovery of their beloved ones, but the civil and military institutions of the state have neglected  these demands and prefer the use of force instead which is a robbery of the oppressed nation’s rights.

Chairman said that the families of the missing persons are sitting in front of the Quetta Press Club (QPC) for the safe recovery of the beloved ones for last two months, but the state institutions have completely neglected the peaceful protesting families which have compelled them today to transfer their protest from QPC towards the Balochistan Chief Minister House, and the families protested in the cold weather of Quetta by establishing high level examples of courage and bravery. But the state, which is afraid of the peaceful protests, threatened the families of serious consequences and forced the families to end their peaceful protest which is included in the serious human rights violations.

He said that the state military institutions continues the enforced disappearance of the Baloch people on one hand, and the civil institutions using the language of military institutions are threatening the families of the Baloch missing persons of serious consequences on other hand. This behavior of the civil institutions shows that the civil and military instituters similarly think about the issue of Baloch missing persons.

Chairman appealed to the Baloch people to fully support the families of the Baloch missing persons that the issue of the Baloch missing persons would be public with its right means to the world.
